Bristol T.188 Supersonic Research Aircraft

G1949  Two de Havilland gyron Juior D.G.J. 10 engines power the new Bristol T.188 supersonic research aircraft. Equipped with special high temperature reheat systems, these engines will together develop over 30,000 lb thrust at speeds in excess of Mach 2.5 Here you can see the plane just taking off. In the distance you can see the a row of aircraft, and the hangars and buildings behind them.
