G2195  Phoebus was the jet core unit of the Proteus I turboprop engine from circa 1949. The engine was tested by fitting it into the bomb bay of a Lincoln RA643. The engine intakes which were also extras can just be seen low down on the starboard fuselage. This aircraft was part of the Brabazon display on Sept 4th 1949.
