TSR2

TSR2

G2262  The abortive TSR2 which was built to use the powerful Olympus engine. In design each engine would produce around 30,000 ehp. The project was shelved and all the jigs destroyed to ensure it could not be revived. The British Aircraft Corporation TSR2 if it had been built, would still be in service today, so great was the initial concept and design. Only 2 examples remain, one at RAF Cosford and one at the RAF museum in Duxford. This image shows an artists impression of the aircraft in flight.
