Aerial view across the factory

Aerial view across the factory

Go back to the records from the 1971 map.

G1190. An aerial view looking across the airfield from the Southmead area showing in the left foreground the Brabazon assembly sheds with the aircraft manufacturing workshops to the right. In the centre of the airfield can be seen the old first world war hangars and the RAF buildings. Further across are West Works and East Works with the villages of Little Stoke and Patchway beyond again. This appears to be in the 1980's when the company were involved in converting VC10's to tankers.
