G1235. Here is an unusual view of Filton Airfield - from Betty Beardmores' mothers' home in Callicroft Road around 1949. It shows a Bristol Wayfarer Mark IIC, G-AHJM (c/n 12745). The Wayfarer was the passenger version of the Freighter, and did not have the large clam-shell doors at the front. This aircraft returned to Filton in December 1948, and is seen here stored on the airfield, with engines removed. In 1949 it was converted to a Bristol Freighter Mark 21P, and delivered to the Pakistan Air Force.
