Cylinder head production

Cylinder head production

Go back to the records from the 1932 map.

G1373. Cylinder head production increased, especially in 1935 as the shadow factories began operations. Shown here are Jupiter heads, these were complete units complete with the cylinder barrel, Roy Fedden did not like to split the head from the barrel in the early designs. This later changed as component and metal technology improved. The overhead drive to the lathes can be seen in the background. Note the workers short hair, standard 'Short Back and Sides.'
