Bristol Flying School

Bristol Flying School

Go back to the records from the 1932 map.

G1383. This 1930's picture shows the extent to which the original Acceptance Hangars (built during World War 1) had grown. West Works behind the flying school, the growing engine factory and buildings, are visible. The new office block and Fedden House are also to be seen. The A38 Bristol to Gloucester road winds past with new buildings springing up in the fields to the right. Farm land is still very close and it will be some years before Patchway is built.
