G1431. The type 118 combined high performance with extreme versatility, and filled the roles of fighter, bomber, army co-operation, high level photographic reconnaisance and ambulance transport. Ideal for a country with a limited war budget. This aircraft, K2873, was fitted with a Mercury V engine for Air Ministry hot weather trials in Iraq. These took place in 1932.
