G1626. The Vulcan fills the hangar as technicians carry out alterations and maintenance on the Olympus unit. The Vulcan bomber has been modified by Bristol Siddeley as a flying test bed for the Bristol Siddeley/SNECMA Olympus 593 turbojet to power Concorde. The Olympus 593, seen here during installation work at Bristol Siddeley's Aero Division, Bristol, is fitted in a fully represented half nacelle under the bomb bay of the Vulcan aircraft.
