Aerial view of Brabazon Hangars

Aerial view of Brabazon Hangars

Go back to the records from the 1971 map.

G1757. An aerial view of the Brabazon assembly sheds built in the late forties and still used for assembling aircraft. The lengthened and widened East/West runway leading away to the River Severn is shown. If you look carefully the newly completed Charlton Village bypass that was cut when the village itself was demolished to make way for the runway is clearly shown.
