Aerial View of Hangars

Aerial View of Hangars

Go back to the records from the 2003 map.

G1797. This aerial view of the Filton airfield looking from the north with the east-west runway running alongside it. In the middle facing us are the famous hangars with the BAC logo are where, in the past the Brabazon, the Britannia and Concorde were all assembled, although known generally as the Brabazon hangars. On the left of the Brabazon hangars In the foreground is an industrial complex, which now has the Mall Shopping Complex built next to it, (out of shot). The newer buildings left of the Brabazon Hangars are for Airbus wing assembly. To the right of the Brabazon Hangars are No 7 and No 8 drawing offices overlooking the runway.
