Samuel Shield's Laundry - Filton

Samuel Shield's Laundry - Filton

Go back to the records from the 1932 map.

G1836. An aerial photograph of Filton taken around 1930. The buildings of Samuel Shield's Laundry became the home of Bristol Cars when the laundry closed around 1950. The road at the front of the buildings is the Gloucester Road. The building at the bottom left is the Anchor pub, sice rebuilt, and the adjacent garden belongs to old Filton House, the headquarters of the Bristol Aeroplane Company. The laundry site is now the Shield Retail Park.
