Brabazon moves into its purpose built Assembly Shed

Brabazon moves into its purpose built Assembly Shed

Back to the story

G1035. October 1947, Brabazon arrives at her new home, the vast Assembly Hall purpose built alongside the lengthened and widened runway built especially for the aircraft and also a symbol of Great Britains pride in a project which allowed a whole village to be demolished and its people moved to ensure it came to fruition.
