Brabazon gets her wings

Brabazon gets her wings

Back to the story

G1036. Brabazon in her new Assembly Hall gets her wings, all 230 feet of them. These halls were part of the whole project for Brabazon, which had not only included constructing them but widening and lengthening the runway. It also entailed uprooting and re-housing a community and cutting through a recently opened bypass.
