Air Raid Precautions

Air Raid Precautions

Back to the story

G1401. This is an actual example of the Air Raid Precautions Card issued by Bristol Aeroplane Company Limited. All workers would have been issued with one. It states the colour of your group is Black, your shelter is 817. Your leader is Mr I Morgan. Department is Inspection, and clock number is 05790. It is signed by M. R. Dyer. It was vitally important to keep a record of employees during the conflict, the significance of this was to become apparent during the air raids of September 1940.
