G1952. This picture clearly shows the Rolls Royce Falcon engine that powered the first Type 14 Bristol Fighters. Other types used: Type 15 F.2B used a Sunbeam Arab and types 16, 17, 17A and 17B used Hispano-Suiza engines of ether 200 or 300 hp. The original Type 14 is the aircraft that established its reputation and was so instrumental in clearing the skies over the Western Front in 1917.
