Sheet Metal Workers

Back to the story

G2088. The British and Colonial Aircraft Company utilised the Brislington works of the Bristol Tramways Factory, for aircraft production, during the 1914-1918 conflict. This photograph of these sheet metal workers (all male) may possibly of been taken before 1916, after which many women were brought into the company to take the place of the men who were directed to the Western Front.
