| G2123. Captain Frank Barnwell the charismatic aircraft designer who was with the Bristol Aeroplane Company from 1911 until his untimely death in 1938 apart from tour on the Western Front in WW1 and two years with the Royal Australian Airforce. He designed a large number of aircraft, not all of which were a financial success but he will be remembered for the excellent Bristol Fighter, the aircraft that helped win the war in the air over the trenches in France and the classic inter war fighter the Bristol Bulldog that actually, in Finnish markings, saw action in WW2. | |
