| G1525. The external wing mounted test bed, built to test the coupled Centaurus engines as fitted in the Brabazon. This was used for exhaustive endurance testing of the engines in the proposed configuration. The Centaurus engines were producing nearly 3000 shp but by this time the gar turbine was making them obsolete for large aircraft. | |
